This is my 1st post to this forum, so please bear with me here. I've had a Palm TC for about 15 mo now, with a Linksys 802.11b Broadband Router/AP, BEFW11S4 v.4 for my WLAN at home.

My IP is Charter Comm & my desktop PC has Win XP with SP2, & I use DHCP (w/o WEP encryption). My cable modem is provided by Charter. Had a Motorola Surfboard, but it quit working properly, after about 9 mo, according to Charter???

For the most part, wi-fi on the Palm has allways been trouble free, exept for an occasional problem, which I'm usually able to fix with a soft reset, or a little tech sup't from Palm & Charter. However, lately access has been inconsistent.

In an attempt to solve the problem, this week I downloaded an upgrade to the Palm browser, from WebPro 2.0 to WeBPro 3.0. v3.0 works pretty good & much faster than v2.0, especially in proxy mode. The problem is I'm getting these occasional DNS Timeout error messages when I try to access the web. Very irritating!!!

The header for PalmOne's Home page comes up, but the whole page will not display, due to the pop-up DNS error. If I tap the Home icon in the header, eventually the entire Home page will appear with all the usuall links, but not allways. When the whole page does come up, I'm able to surf to most websites. When it doesn't, I do a soft reset on the Palm & that usually solves the problem.

Anyone have any suggestions? If more info is req'd please don't hesitate to ask.

Bob
