Ok guys you may need to dumb this up for me... :)
Problem:
I get intermittant disconnects. Chatting cuts off online, Kazaa (lite) cuts out, websites fail to connect. However it just seems to only happen for brief amount of times, then reconnects and everything is cool. Hit the reload on the browser, hit reconnect on the chat program, solves the problems for brief times. I get these blackouts sometimes 20 times an hour, or sometimes go for a day and only get one or two. Just creating this message my chat client had to be reconnected twice. Real frustrating.
Stats:
Cox Cable Connection
Windows XP
Laptop wi-fi pcmcia orinoco gold
D-Link router

I thought this was a wireless connection issue, so I connected directly to the cable modem, no wi-fi. It seemed to happen less, but still was happening. Played with the tweakDun pgoram, trying out different settings, but still consistantly have same problem. Tried Sniffer program, and saw several "WINS no response" issues, thye measured in the hundreds of errors, but I have no idea how to correct any issue relating to that.
Any clues?
Should I be checking anything in particular?
