am having a terrible time getting my new DLink DI-524 wireless router set up and working correctly.
I am using a cable modem and have 2 desktop pc's, 1 laptop, and a PS2 plugged into the router.
*** I am already on a wired router by LinkSys and I think maybe that is part of the problem going from an already wired router to a wireless....maybe not? ***
I unplugged everything and plugged in my new DLink Wireless and put a cat 5 cable from the cable modem to the new DLink the WAN port. Then connect my main desktop pc with a cat 5 to the port 1 on the DLink Wireless.
I ran the setup and that seemed fine. I rebooted and connected other pc's and my laptop and got the DLink software drivers installed for my wireless card.
I then run the wizard to configure and set as Dynamic DHCP which it should be.
It shows my LAN MAC Address is 00 11 95 55 28 4E (which was old LinkSys wired router I have now hooked up).
The WAN MAC address is showing 00 04 5A 65 EB FF (which is new wireless router by DLink). The factory host name shows DI-524, not sure if I need to change that or not. ** I have tried changing the WAN MAC to show the LAN and it doesn't work still.
The problem I am having is all pc's are networked together when I am done...my laptop can wirelessly access all other pc's on network, but NONE can get on the internet. Page cannot be displayed!! THIS IS A HEADACHE!! What am I doing wrong?
Please help!! Would be GREATLY appreciated!!
P.S. Internet works on the wired LinkSys router....
