Hello, Im trying to create a wireless network between my base and my laptop. Im running base on a 56k modem with windows xp, My laptop also is running xp and i can connect the two with a ethernet cable just fine to share internet,
I have bought DI-524 wireless router and a DWL-G630 airplus G card, I have connected the base as follows:
phoneline into modem, ethernet wire into router and have card into laptop, I can share files no problem but when it comes to sharing internet its no good, it states im connected but when i ping4.2.2.2 i get a time out.
Like i stated before i have had no problems with ethernet to ethernet (created a network).
I have followed the directions with both router and card and cant figure out what im doing wrong,Any help would be great.

The wireless router has a DHCP service which must be disabled if you are using ICS.

The router has a web interface to configure it.
For Dlink use IE:
http:\\192.168.0.1 (you must disable ICS before doing this).

Navigate thro the web interface to find DHCP service. The router manual should help.

The default ID is admin and the password field is blank.
