Vaio shows wireless but no internet

I am running a sony K-14w/lan express-as minicard. The nternet connection just shuts down. I show connected to the network but it gives a dns error. I run e-signal separately and it stays connected but I can't bring up a web page in IE or Firefox. Any ideas to troubleshoot this problem. It may work for an hr or day then shut down.

If I had known that MSFT was involved in this site I wouldn't have posted here. Not everyone is stupid when it comes to computers etc.This is not a network problem it is a computer problem specifically a Sony Vaio(they are almost as bad as MSFT). If you don't want to help me fine but don't point me to posts that assume I'm an idiot, especially if you work for MSFT probably the most inefficient and worthless technology co on the planet. This is just what they would have done.That is ,do anything to avoid actually helping a consumer. So delete my personal info remove me from the database and I will go find a forum where I can actually get some help.

MVPs do not work for Microsoft. Before you stress out any more on this, you might try looking up that information right on the Microsoft site.

As for helping you with your Sony product, it's kind of hard without some needed information as to how your Sony product is malfunctioning. If you go to "My Computer" and select "Properties", you might notice that it does refer you back to Sony for support. If you feel that providing the simple basic information detailed in the quoted thread is too much for you, then you might consider contacting Sony for more in-depth and live support.
