I have two BEFVP41 routers by linksys connected to two separate lans (17 miles apart.) Both are internet connected by Earthlink DSL with dynamic ip addresses. I have set up two URL with dyndns.org. Both routers recognize the dynamic domain name services. I have set up the routers to establish a vpn connection originating on either end. I can connect according to the router's reporting from either end to the other, but cannot do anything across the connection.
I realize that I am exposing my ignorance :( but find it more important to get it right.
One lan is peer to peer with XP pro and 98 SE machines. The other has dedicated NT 4.0 server with XP pro and 98 SE machines.
I would like to map a drive across the vpn from one to the other.
I'm sure this has been addressed elsewhere, but my searches have not been correctly defined to find it.
