Have wireless connection cant access internet

:confused: I created a wireless network between two pcs and one laptop.Everything worked greate until sons pc died, as he wants a better system for xmas have now given him my old pc which runs xp. Set it up for him - great - it sees the wireless network but cant access the internet. Have checked his settings against mine and all seem ok - can anyone point me in the right direction

Need a little more infor about how the internet connection is being shared.

I have setup just using the xp create small office network which appeared to work on the other pc. As for the internet I just setup everything to obtain addresses automatically, which also worked before. I have compared the setting from pc to another and they are the same have also done ipconfig and is comes back with an address.

Sounds OK - no clue there.

What wireless router are you using?

If you post the ipconfig /all output we can check it for you.
(Ipconfig /all > file.txt). Paste contents of file.txt here.

Also check connection settings in IE is set to never dial a connection.

Solved - I had put the wrong wep code in when configuring to the router, thought it must be something daft - thanks for getting back to me
