wireless network help windows me

Ok heres the deal..I have a dlink router on my main windows xp machine with dsl...have had a laptop hooked up to it wirelessly for some time and works fine...now trying to hook up an older computer with windows me wirlessly with a dlink card but i cant get it to work...it shows a connection is green and good but everytime i go to surf the net i get nothing, just error page comes up...please help..thanks, Kasey
