Hi, i was wondering if its possible to spoof my ip?

also, on the security side, especially for greenstead, will my MR314 hold off attacks from anybody? if they did a port scan on my computer, could they get through?

they couldn't do a port scan on your PC because it has a private IP address, the portscan would be on the router...

clutchd - I don't know what you mean by spoof your IP. What do you want to achieve ?

As unixfan says, any port scanning on your network will hit the MR314. Whenever I have run port scan tests on my MR314 it always shows all ports closed and protected. However, if you do any port forwarding to your PC then of course those scans will get direct to the PC and then it depends what security you have on the PC.

There is a port scan test here:

One correction, even if you have certain ports forwarded, the portscan still reflects the router, you can forward ports that you dont run to the PC and it will still show that, that particular port is open on the router and vice versa.
