E-mail Spam - unwanted e-mail ads for things you have never expressed an interest in. I recently came across a very useful anti-spam tool which has trapped every piece of spam e-mail for me in the last week.
You can read about it here:
http://www.cloudmark.com/
It works with XP and Outlook 2002. It is an index of known spam e-mails shared with all other users of the service. It detects spam and puts it in a special folder for to check if you want. If you receive a piece of new unknown spam you put it in the folder and it feeds back and everyone else benefits. In a way its a bit like a virus checker or pop up ad killer.
It works. And it's free.
