Hi- I have a Dell laptop that was running Win2000. It had me log in everytime with user name and password. When I upgraded to XP it did the same thing however the user name and password no longer worked. I am stuck on the login screen. Questions--How do I bypass this to access the system? How do I disable this whole log in feature?

thanks-

This is probably not networking security, but system security which has nothing to do with networking. You might try the user name of "administrator" and a password that you may think you have defined during the installation/upgrade process. There may even be a remote chance that you have a blank password for the "administrator" account on the new installation/upgrade.

I am not sure if this will work on XP OS machines but it does work on Win 98SE and 2000

I run XP on my computer and like the feature for personal security but I have used Tweek to disable this on the computers on my home network so I can use PC anywhere to perform maintance on the other connected computers. Sometines they need to reboot and if this feature did not have ago around I could not be able to prerform all the maintance tasks.
