what is this feature of system watchdog? Here is the link to the article on the netgear site: http://www.expressresponse.com/cgi-bin/progsnp/netgear2/srchjnnp?search_type=vdocument&search_input=N100604.htm&session_id=1039992593.32.7&level=main&prodfamily=&product=&search_erproduct=&submit.x=0&submit.y=0
It would be helpful to know what this actually is, thanks...

Not sure if I can compete with the bold statement that Netgear is horrible. Especially with all the evidence and discussion to back the allegation up! For what it's worth, I can't fault either the Netgear router (2nd one) or the wireless NIC I have. The features, reliability, and price have all been very good. The only complaint I've seen yet is the response time for tech support.
clutchd,
I don't have a watchdog feature in my FM114P. It could be a feature only in the older routers or possibly be renamed as something else in the newer one that I have. Why don't you email them?
I just installed a Netgear 814NA and it was the easiest and smoothest install that I have ever done.
It has been working flawlessly for a month now.
I dont know how anyone could say that Netgear is horrible.
its simply not true.
The only reason that I bought netgear was the price.
I bought 2...well 3, but nevermind... I paid $50 each, then found a $30 mail in rebate. We will see if they work.
If linksys or Dlink had been cheaper, I would have them now.
But I couldn't be happier with the Netgear.
Hope this helps,
Ysgi

Your link doens't lead anywhere. I've never heard of this Watchdog feature either. Where did you hear about it?
Although I've had great experience with Netgear routers, from the easy as pie WGR614 to their Prosafe series, which I find has the best logging abilities of any of the brands. I tried Linksys' WRT54G and it's logging it pathetic.
