Slow speeds on wireless pc's

Hey Guys, This is my first post, i have a Mr814 router, connected to a cable modem, we have 2 pc's with wirelees connections and 1 directly connected to the router.

when i do those speed tests(cnet one) on the wireless pc's i get 1300.oKbps.
When i do it on the pc connected directly to the router i get 3000.0Kbps speeds. at first i thought it was normal but now i have read i should be getting the same speed...

I've tried setting 128bit encryption and get the same results, there arent any more settings i see can help.....also a wireless laptop gets same speeds as the wireless.. even if its right next to the router

Hi,

Turning on WEP or WPA is going to place an impact on your internet connection. The distance from the wireless router and traffic (playing games or downloading large files) will also impact on your internet connection.

Another factor is that the wireless speed is shared amongst all wireless devices on the same channel.
