We are a fairly small company, so we are currently using a Windows XP machine as our file server. However, I am running into a problem. I have disabled simple file sharing, and have set up appropriate file shares, allowing users access to the folder applicable to their department. In order for users to access the shared folders, I have had to add each user to the server. If I add them as a limited account, than they cannot modify files created by others, which is not practical for our work environment. As a result, all users currenty have administrative account. This leaves one glaring security flaw: any user can physically sit down at the server, log in, and see all of the files on the server, modify other user accounts, etc. Is there any way around this, short of using a different OS on the server? Am I missing something that would negate this security issue?

Any suggestions will be very much appreciated!!
