I have a 3COM access point with a 3COM 54g adaptor in my wife's laptop and a Belkin 54g in mine. I would like to ghost the hard drives over my wireless network to a desktop computer that I use as an internet gateway. I can find no mention of DOS drivers anywhere, can wireless networks work in DOS? (I have already carried out this process over a wired LAN but would just like to find out if it can be done!)

You can configure connection between Windows and a DOS computer with MS-DOS Network drivers.

However in order to replace the Wire with Wireless you need Wireless Hardware that have the capacity to be install on DOS.

I think that Cisco Airnet has DOS drivers, other manufactures might have too.

If you already have a Wireless Card try your manufacturer support Site.
