Hi, I had set up a home network using Netgear FR114P router and a Netgear FS105 fast switch. I have one computer connected to the Netgear router directly, the other one connected through FS105 switch. This portion of network works fine.
However I recently purchased Dell inspiron notebook along with Dell wireless router TrueMobile 2300, and I want to expand my network to have a wireless connection.

I had connected dell router to FS105 switch (I can not use Dell router instead of Netgear router, signal strength is too low).
It works if I want to use wireless connection to browse internet, however, computers on the network do not see each other. Dell router creates a separate segment with different IP addresses and I was not able to bring them to see each other.

TrueMobil can be configured to work as an access point; unfortunately, as soon as I select this option connection to Netgear router is lost. Netgear simply does not see it. I tried to configure TrueMobil to obtain DHCP automatically or manually -- does not help.

As you had probably guessed, Dell's help is pathetic...

Anybody have any Ideas? Would appreciate it very much
Mike

You must ensure you use only one DHCP service on the network. The Netgear router provide one. If the Dell kit may also provide DHCP which you must disable.

The connections aof the devices re not quite clear. Explain them please.

However I suspect you are using the WAN port of the Dell router which you must not.

You probably connected the Dell Router through the WAN port use regular port and switch off DHCP.
