I had a similar problem, and found out it was the router itself. You might want to go through the retailer you bought it from to exchange it for another one.

Hi,

If the laptop is able to connect to the router then you need to go into the router setup for your type of wireless cards.

Which router do you have?

Which D-link cards do you have?

Get the latest drivers for both the router and wireless cards.

Make sure that router's mode is set to connect to your wireless cards: a,b,g

Are the two cards for desktop computers?
