ADSL V Wireless Networks

I have been running successfully a wireless network (Belkin) and sharing a PSTN connection between 3 PC's (2 on on XP pro and 1 on Win98) at home. Last week I started up my newly installed ADSL and when booting up the network immediately shutdown the PC! Is this a TCP problem or an incompatibilty issue? If anyone has any advise on getting the kids back online and giving me peace I'd be most grateful!

It will help if you give some more description of the network connections.
e.g
How is the ADSL modem connected to the network (to a PC or a router). How are the wireless connections made (a Belkin AP or Router or peer-peer). Are you using ICS? Which ISP is it ?
