Hello,

I have been on ADSL internet access for about a month, and I am also in the process of setting up a network in my home which will consist of two PC's and a shared printer.

I invested in my ADSL service before I made the decision to network, and the modem my BSP advised to buy (from them!) was a Fujitsu USB modem.

I have been looking at routers on various websites and every router I have seen appears to connect to the modem with an ethernet cable. So I see this as a problem for me, since that my ADSL modem connects to a PC/gateway via a USB connector. So my first question is if there a router out there which will connect to a USB ADSL modem?

Alternatively, I could not go the way of the router, and use a very simple peer-2-peer network using M$'s ICS. If I were to do this, would I be able to use the ICS client computer for IM programs and even internet games? (If the answer is no, I guess the way around it is to use remote desktop, but I'd rather run these programs locally if I could!).

(BTW, both PC's are XP Pro boxes).

Thanks in advance,
David
