Comp A has the internet connection (dial-up) the modem is a US Robotics 56k Voice Win modem. It is running win98se.

Comp B has lan integrated into the motherboard. It's running winXPpro.

I wanna network the two and share the internet connection. I am leaning towards a phone line network 'cause it would be easier to set up but then the integrated lan on comp B would be wasted cause it's rj-45. The avaliablitly of hpna products is suspect so I might have to use ethernet. I read that win modems won't work with a router does hpn or ethernet require a router? Anyway, what do you think would be the better option?

Nevermind, I've found the best of both worlds: PoE!

PoE, HomePlug, Powerline or what ever they want to call it today is also getting scarce too. You might want to factor that in, if that was something that you counted against HPNA. It is also at least 2 to 3 times more for equivalent products as their HPNA counterparts.
