Hello,

Does anyone know if you can successfully configure a ZyXel Prestige 645R to work with a Linksys wireless G router? I have gotten the internet to work, but I want to use the firewall built into the Linksys to be the default firewall, not the Prestige's. The external Internet IP address should be showing on the Linksys router config under Internet IP. Right now it is showing the internals. Is the a way to disable the Prestige's firewall capabilities so it acts as only a DSL modem? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This isn't really the forum for this type of hardware configurations, not too much (if any) ZyXel equipment around here (at least not without the Netgear label on them - wink). You might check to see if the unit can be put into a "bridging" mode. In some of the similar modem/router combinations, that would disable the router functionality.

You best bet is to contact your ISP, if they are the ones that provided you the unit for access to their services. That will also be your safest bet, if they have any configuration requirements that might not be obvious.
