I am currently in the US but will be relocating to the UK in January. I want to set up a wireless network so I can share broadband between my laptop and a desktop. If I purchase the hardware in the US, is there any reason it will not work in the UK (assuming I plug them into transformers)?

The only difference I know of is the channel range. Something like 1-11 in the US, 1-13 in the UK. I'm not sure if that means the US uses less of the freq band or stretches the channels, the former I would expect. Firmware upgrades tend to be country specific which I guess reflects this difference. Ask them about that.
