I've been trying to get a WGA11B working to play some Phantasy Star Online w/ the Gamecube. I have the Linksys Wireless-G router (and it is set to mixed) hooked up to my main PC, which also has a Linksys Wireless-G PCI card. I can connect wirelessly w/ my laptop anywhere in the house so I don't think the signal is the problem. I can view the WGA11B adapter to connect to it peer to peer from the main machine where the router is located too. The channel settings matchup too. I also have the wireless network settings defaulting for the purposes of just getting this thing hooked up (broadcast ssid and no WEP).

The problem seems to be that the router doesn't want to recognize the WGA11B. I run the setup program that it came w/ and it can't find anything. I really have no clue what to try next. Anyone else had this problem? It really doesn't make any sense to me since everything is default and the same brand even. I also just got the BBA for the GC used from Software, etc. The ethernet light on the WGA11B lights up when the GC is turned on though.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

In your description, you mentioned that you were successfully in getting the unit to work in peer-to-peer mode. That would be "Ad-Hoc" networking, you would need "Infrastructure" networking in order to communicate with the wireless router.

You should probably contact Linksys Support directly, since not too many folks on this forum have been playing around with the wireless bridging products. It's also in their best interest to get a network of their sole products to interoperate correctly.

***if the computer has a problem detecting the the wga11b, you just have to do the reset for the device. you will see a reset on the device and hold it for 30 seconds. then try to run again the setup of the wga11b...it would be better if you will just connect the computer directly to the wga11b.
--another workaround if the computer has a problem detecting it, do the power cycle meaning unplug and then replug the power adapter

--change your tcp/ip settings and set static ip address on the computer
* ip address is 192.168.1.5
* subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
* default gateway is 192.168.1.1
--run the setup..after the setup..set back your tcp/ip settings to obtain ip automatically
--if you're able to connect to the internet you should be able to to your game console

--hope this will help :)

--you may call linksys technical support 1-800-326-7114 for further assistance
