Hi,
I have two pcs connected to each other through an ADSL line. The one PC is running Windows 2000 Professional and the other Windows 98. The first one has two printers installed that I have shared to its local network. From the second one I managed to install the first one's printers using the network tab as\\xxx.xx.xxx.xx\printer where xxx...xx is the ip address of the Windows 2000 terminal. Am using an application that was written in DOS mode therefore when installed the printers on Windows 98 I mapped LPT1 and LPT2 ports to the printers of the windows 2000 terminal. Everything looked allright and printed ok, but after a while the application would "hang" at the print-out job (the Windows 98 terminal). If I uninstall the printers at that time and reinstall them everything works allright again for a while. Also when the application hangs the printers look off-line at the printers window. Somehow it's losing the connection to the printers where as the line is on and don't have a clue on what to do with it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
