First of I would like to thank you for your help. My sharing problem was the firewall I had installed on my two machines a Win XP with a Dlink DI624 VIA eithernet cable and a Win me via wireless DWL G520 PCI card. I first removed the AV/Firewall off of both machines (PC-cellion) and got everything working, then I reinstalled the AV on both machines and removed the firewall on both machines. The network still worked fine. I have restored the firewalls until I can be sure I have the right stuff installed that will protect my machine and let me share files and printers.

My question is where can I find a firewall that will work on my two machines and not bring down my network? Is there someway to configure these firewalls that I have now (PC-Cellion) so they will work, ie opening a port or something like that. I am running a Dlink DI-624 It has a firewall to but when I go to enable it, it does not seem to work, But thats a Question for Dlink. If you could give me a push in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thank You for all of your help.

I have installed Zone alarm and it really works well. It even detects your network and allows you to configure the fire wall to accept it. I would also like to say thanks to Greenstead and Cszeto for all of the help.

Just be careful and aware it is not being an issue that "Broken Alarm" doesn't work. It's that it doesn't know how to stop working, which can lead to other difficulties at times.
