Hey I'm having trouble with my lynksis (mind my spelling) router. Its realtively new and everything is great except one ting! Everytime I get a phone call my router disconnects and it keeps disconnected while the phone call is in process. I have 2 2.5 ghz phones if that is any probelm. I also tried to change my channel on the router but I don't believe that did anygood neither. So if you could help that would be great.

Great forum .

You need to be more specific as to what is disconnecting.

If you are on DSL and your DSL disconnects when a phone call comes in, then you might want to check your DSL filter(s).

If it's your wireless connection to the router, then you already have your answer. Both 802.11b/g and 2.4 GHz phones use the same frequencies.

I'm not using DSL. Disconnecting umm... Everytime I get a phone call my router and my PCI cards lose connection for the span of the phone call. I do have 802.11g linkysys router and I have two 2.5ghz phones. I also need help on how to change the freq. Sorry for not eloborating enough.

Thanks

It's 2.4 GHz and you might be able to change to a better frequency on the wireless router. You can try the different available frequencies, but may have to consider giving up the 2.4 GHz phone, if you want to have your wireless network work correctly.

Now you know the "secret sign" when you spot another shopper looking for a 900 MHz phone. Sweet deals on them these days too. I think I saw something like a 5.3 GHz the last time around, but the 900 MHz models does everything I need at a fraction of the price...
