Welcome to the Forum.
Well it happened to be that the 624+ is currently the best combo Wireless Cable/DSL.
Why?

Notice how the D-Link and Netgear Super G stick out above the Crowd.
If you can explain what is wrong with the 624+ (and I mean in technological terms, calling some thing “shit” does not explain what is wrong with it). May some one can help you.

A quick call to D-Link's Tech Support would have resolved your problems MUCH faster than posting them here, but I'll relay to you what I found out.
Since I'm really only familiar with KaZaa (which you mention using with/through your router), I can tell you that it LOADS your computer with spyware/adware -- if you don't believe that, run Ad-Aware and see how many files it finds relating to KaZaa alone. These files inundate the router with pings, which causes it to reboot about every 45 seconds or so. For all intents and purposes I'm a technological idiot, but apparently the router being pingged constantly (either from the Internet or your computer) causes it to reboot - ALL THE TIME. I scrapped KaZaa in favor of Win MX and haven't had a re-boot since. Tech Support is a wonderful thing.
Of course, virus protection programs, computer settings and individual ISP protocols can wreak havoc with setups, too. If you have problems getting this router to work, CALL TECH SUPPORT.
I recently purchased/installed the D-Link DI-624, and after some intial install issues and ONE CALL to D-Link Tech Support, it's been smooth sailing. Couldn't be happier with the speeds I'm getting on my wired components (desk top and PS2) as well as a wireless lap top. I have no prior experience with other routers as this is my very first, but I couldn't be happier.
By the way, have I mentioned that calling D-Link Tech Support may help you resolve the problems you're having?
Hope this helps...
