got a coupla questions!

the first was about the built in firewall on the linksys wrt54g. Is it any good? haha, pretty short q!

2nd is do i need a software firewall on all computers in the network? basically i have a desktop wired into router, and a laptop using a wireless adapter. the laptop uses zone alarm, but i have no software firewall on the desktop. do u suggest i use one. i was unsure about it, because i had to set the network settings in zone alarm to 'trusted' so i could share files as well, although the connection also shares the internet!

hope i'm making sense!

--it would be better if you will not have any third party software in the computer because it might have a conflict with the firewall of the wrt54g. the router has a built-in firewall so basically there is nothing to worry about the firewall problem. it's automaticlly enabled on the router.
and the second effect for this is you may be connected but you will have a very slow connection:cool:

The answer to both your questions is yes. There is no conflict in doing this, and it protects from both external intrusion, and detects internal spyware/trojans.
