Right now I have three computers, all are located within 10 feet of one another (how silly right?!:D ). All three are Dell computers. Two are XP, the other is ME. The ME computer is caleld the "old computer" one XP is the "kidsroom" the other is the "mediaroom". I just got a Linksys BEFSX41 Firewall Router to share files/printers/dsl. Currently, the dsl is shared fine, and i have all the DCHP and all that stuff enabled, but file sharing is still an issue. The Mediaroom and Kidsroom can access one anothers files perfectly, and the Mediaroom and Old computer can access one another's files perfectly, but the Old computer, whenever it tries to access the kidsroom says "the network device is not present". When i try to access the Old Computer from the Kidsroom it prompts for a password, then freezes. I know they are configured right, but don't know what is going wrong. Initially, I couldnt even access the network from the Old Computer, but I disabled the internet firewall thing in XP and they could see one another, but STILL I CANT ACCESS FILES and it is driving me LOCO :mad: :mad: !
