U must understand ur wireless WMP11 adapter software (or XP software) allows only ICS but do not bother about ur file/printer sharing aspect; u have to manually configurate it but is simple
For file/printer sharing ; u must networked ur sons' laptop and the PC with printer on
Network setup wizard is only available at window XP so u cannot run network setup at ME PC but can make a network setup diskette from XP machine to be run on mE PC
Run the network setup wizard and diskette here; note difference in the role here
U must enable file and printer sharing at PC with printer
Go to printer icon enable sharing there and u will be asked to give a name to it remember it
To enable sharing right click on the printer icon in control panel
I presume ur printer is setup at Me machine and u wanted to access from XP laptop
After running the network setup and given both same workgroup name reboot machine and u will find icon "my network places" in the XP laptop
Look for icon "add network places" choose option of browse for network places ; u will be given available network places that has not appear ; identify the printer icon (remember u are asked to give a name to printer when u enable file/printer sharing;right)
Choose that printer
Then u can use the printer from the laptop as though it is connected there physically
wireless is no problem i have done it
Gaming part ;only my son is using so i do not know how; maybe others can say something
