Hey,
how can i forward a port (7) to the subnet mask (255.255.255.0) on the WRT54G wireless broadband router?

You mean you want to forward 'wake on magic packet' to the network ?

well i was told i need to forward port 7 to the subnet mask of the network. then it will find the appropiate machine to wake up using the mac address?! i dont have port triggering on the WRT54G though, because linksys say they havnt developed it!! its even in the manual but it isnt even on the control panel, im trying to get around this....

I use this easy to use free Gui for wakeup:

I use it over internet by forwarding UDP port 7 to the IP address of the PC I want to wake up.
Of course used on the LAN does not need any forwarding.

bring up the browser>> in the address bar type 192.168.1.1>> leave username blank and pasword is admin>>>> click advanced tab>> click forwarding tab>>>then this is where you will put the values that you want to forward on the rouiter.:cool:
