Hi: I have a large enough house where I want to install two D-Link 614+'s in the same home. Then, I want to wander throughout the home with one of two PowerBook G4's running OS X and I want my network connection to switch between the two WAP's seamlessly.

Can anyone provide advice on the best way to configure the two WAP's? (My WAN is a RoadRunner connection.)

The D-Link 614+ is a broadband router. You really need just one D-Link 614+ and a wireless Access Point (though theres not a lot of difference in price so it might be good to have a backup to your broadband router).

You conifgure them so that only one is the DHCP server (the one connected to the broadband). Set them both to the same SSID and channel number and the laptop will switch seamlessly dependent on where it sees the best signal.

Do you really need two Access Points? My house is 3000 sq ft and I just lose connection with the router in one corner of the house and the laptop in the far corner. If you can put a single router nearer the centre of the house you might get away with it. Also the D-Link 614+ has a detachable aeriel so you might consider putting a high gain aeriel on it. However you might want to cover part of the garden also which is what I do with two wireless routers configured as I described. The bad news is you have to cable the routers together (by their LAN ports).
