Alright any advice will be greatly appreciated. Here's my situation.
I've got a main router/firewall which is connected to my ISP. I just picked up this DI-614+ that I'd like to use as an access point that will sit behind my main firewall. I'd like to be able to access windows fie shares from my laptop. The file shares reside behind my main firewall and infront of the DI-614+.
If I'm not mistaken with a plain AP I'd be able to do this. If I'm correct an AP functions as a switch which simply changes the media from TP to wireless. Please let me know if I'm wrong. Can I get the DI-704 to function as a plain AP if I don't enable any of the firewalling features? The whole firewalling/NATing part is un-necessary in my particular application.
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to wireless so I apologize if anything I said isn't correct...
Thanks,
