i have just set up a linksys access point router. main pc is hardwired to router. other pc is usb wireless. I can ping each other from the command line. the link status on the usb is great, but i cannot access the internet. i keep getting dns error. any suggestions. this is driving me crazy

i remember i had this problem with my own home network and i got so frustrated i reformatted my win98 and the router did just fine. i hope i don't have to do this again?

Check your router has the ISP DNS server addresses in it (they should have been loaded from the ISP when the router picked up its WAN address. If not find out what they are and manually enter them.

In each of the NIC TCP/IP properties set them to get DNS addresses automatically - alternatively you can enter the DNS addreses manually.
