Hello all,
I am running a small network in an office... Mostly for Internet Sharing (we have a T1). Right now, there is only one wireless router and it does not have a WEP key for encryption. It's basically open.

I was wondering if there was anyway for someone to use this open wireless area to setup a server or just monitor traffic?

I think to setup a server, you would need to have access to my routers to configure port forwarding... Or setup a DMZ host...

Am I right in assuming that?

I'm not too concerned about security as of yet... I just want to know if someone can actually 'get in' to it and use it to basically setup a server without my knowledge (if it's possible, reply fast!, I don't want it wide open :( )

Thanks in advance for your responses,
Stanley

Had not noticed this port before.

It is as open as if you put a network connection on the wall outside.

Turn it off.
