I have a Panasonic KX-HCM280 network camera that has a built-in webserver on it. I can hook it up to a dsl modem and access it over the internet using it's ip address.

My issue is that I want to wirelessly hook it to my dsl connection and my office computer. I bought a Belkin F5D6231-4 wireless router and a Netgear ME101 Bridge. The Belkin rep at compusa said that I could connect the camera to the bridge and my pc to the router and the router to dsl modem and all would be well.

What I've found is that if I hook the camera to the router using wires it works just fine, but if I hook it to the bridge, I can't access the camera from my pc or the internet.

The wireless bridge appears to be connecting to the wan port on the router. All the lights indicate it's making a connection. I've got the ssid's set the same, wep set the same, but I can't seem to get to the camera through the bridge.

Any ideas? Do I need different hardware?

The come with default IP addresses on different subnets.

MA101 - 192.168.0.200
Belkin - 192.168.2.1

Have you changed the address in one to match the other subnet. e.g. change the MA101 to 192.168.2.200

Boy do I feel silly. I had encryption turned on with the bridge but not with the router. Once I disabled it on both it worked fine.

Now the problem is that when I turn encryption on for both, it doesn't work. I tried using the automatic 64bit encryption that generates the code from a passphrase and that didn't work. I used the same passphrase for both the router and the bridge.

Then I tried entering the key manually and I had a question about that. I think I'll start another post to cover this question, though.
