Hi!
Ive read some threads on networking here and it seems like u people know what u are doing ;) well i dont!
I recently bought:
a orinoco silver card with external antenna
A texas instrument pcmcia - pci connector
Now i am trying to connect to my residential wlan isp I works fine for about 30-40 secs at a time the i get a disconnect for a few seconds and then it reconnects. This is all very confusing the orinoco client manager shows low but quite stable signal strength most of the time then it decides to look for some new channel maybe? at best the connection is very good for a couple of seconds....
I run this disaster on xp pro and yes i have the latest drivers and all that..
Is there any way to stop this constant reconnecting. It just only be a poor connection can it? something must be telling this donkey-puter to look for greener grass somehow? right?
by the way our guinea-pig is cool
