wrt54g connection refused

I am trying to log on to my wrt54g using http://192.168.1.1/ but get connection refused. This is from a cabled connection into two of the ports of the router. Any ideas? I had just downloaded itunes for windows and lost the wireless connection to my laptop after the reboot. thanks for any help.

I have a windows 2000 desktop cabled into the router and a wireless laptop running xp. I pressed the reset switch and got the wireless connection working again but I cannot log on to 192.168.1.1 to change settings even after the reset.

You get an error message 'connection refused' or just a timeout ?

Have you tried a hard reset holding the button in for 10 secs.

It was an error message and the solution is to untick the use proxy server option in internet explorer.
