Have got a wireless Belkin cable router (54g) but cant get it set up. I need to clone the mac address but cant get into the routers homepage to access the set up pages. The Easy Wizard doesn't find the router. I have definately connected all the cables correctly and checked them. HELP !! Am using XP with telewest broadband.

Strange...... have you installed all the drivers and firmware? There should be an interface coming along with the device?
Sometimes it can happen that you installed it in the wrong order. Escpecially with XP. Have you followed the instructions?

yep, the easy wizard is the software, but the alternative install method is using the web page. I have read that if i push in and hold the reset button for a few seconds, that should take the router back to it's default. Should I try that?

Sure, you can always reverse it by using the wizard again.

Have tried to approach the router by usings its ip adress? Just go to the command line and type ipconfig /all.
Look if the ip of the router appears. If so, type that adress ms explorer. Most probably, you'll get into the router menu.

tried that. the ip address, 192.168.2.1 wont work. I got in once, a couple of days ago, but the home page timed out and I haven't been able to get back since. If I power everything down, does it matter what order I start everything up in? I'm running out of things to try !
