I had a direcway satellte system installed on my server computer a couple of weeks ago. The server has been running fine with the network for 2 years until the direcway was installed. The only way the direcway will browse for any length of time is to disable the network card connection. The direcway uses a usb connection. with the nic disabled it will browse fine on the server but this is not acceptable because i have to have the connection working to share for the network programs. After a reboot with both connections active it will share the direcway connection for a few minutes and then just stop with no error messages or anything. When this happens the server can no longer browse either. The direcway connection says it is working fine but will not browse. I have checked the IP addresses and they appear fine. The gateway is enabled on the direcway only. I have gone through direcway instructions and troubleshooting but no answers. Direcway says it is a networking problem and they will not help but it does me no good to have it if it will not work with the network. They advertise it will work but they will not help if it does not. Any ideas would be appreciated.
