Does anyone have experience with uploading webpages when using ICF? It seems that uploading websites in a peer-to-peer environment causes problems. Not only at the client but also at the host machine.

Although uploading using ws_ftp sometimes works, normally it gives me a headache. The application stalls (as well as any alternative application, cute ftp) when attempting to transfer data to the ftp.

Anyone any clue?

Found the problem! :D

It appears that if a server doesn't support frontpage extensions, XP is giving you a hard time on connecting to a ftp site. So, just adding a ftp server in you network environment will not work.

Solution: when acknowledging this problem, set the application ws_ftp host type to unix (standard) and all the problems are gone. This will not solve the network wizard problem, but you will at least be able to up,- and download from a ftp site.

This problem has nothing to do with the icf settings at all. The checkbox ftp doesn't make a difference either. (at the config screen of ICF)
