I am using a Linksys Wireless Cable/DSL Router BEFW11S4 with the wireless signal booster. I have 2 almost identical computers (same brand) running WinXP Home. They both have Linksys USB wireless adapters. Both have very good signal strength. One computer has no problem but the other computer has ether a very slow connection or a DNS error comes up. It have swithched cables and wireless adapters. I have spent several hours on the phone with Linksys Tech Support. The only cure is to totally remove all Linksys driver(s) and the wireless adapter from the system and then do a new install. This works for only a little while and then the connection slows down or comes up with the DNS error again. I am stumped and I am at the point where I think it may be easier to get a new computer rather than hearing, dad the internet is not working on the computer again!
Could the problem be related to how WinXP is set up on this machine?
Could it be related to a Windows XP Hotfix?
Thanks for any help.
