I just purchased an ASUS A7V8X mainboard that has a built-in ethernet port with a LAN boot-rom chip. There is no WOL connector on the board to alllow a wol connection to a pci network adapter. All my other systems have a wol connector and I use it to "wake them up" from remote, etc.. The bios has a setting to enable/disable the boot rom, which I enabled, but I am at a loss as to actually do this, and there is little to no info on how to use it. With the other systems, I simply use a small pogram (wol.exe) with the nic's mac address as the parameter to wake up the systems.. I tried this with the boot rom, but it doesn't work.. I would appreciate any info someone may have regarding this..
