I have a Linksys BEFSR41 wired 4-port router hooked up to my DSL modem. The ports are connected to 3 PCs and a Netgear MR314 wireless router. The MR314, which was purchased a week ago, is connected to a PC using one of the 4 ports and a Belkin USB wireless adapter which is hooked to another PC. The Linksys setup works fine and the ethernet part of the Netgear works fine, but I cannot get the wireless adapter to connect to the Netgear. The Belkin cannot ping the Netgear. All the lights on the Netgear router are normal and the SSID is the same on both Netgear and Belkin. I know the Belkin works because I previously had it working with a D-Link DWL-900 WAP through the Linksys router. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

How have you connected and configured the Netgear?

i.e.
- Is the Negear connected to the Linksys by its LAN or WAN port (use a LAN port)?
- Have you changed the default LAN address of the Netgear to match the subnet of the Linksys (e.g. 192.168.1.254 - Do so)?
- Is the DHCP LAN server in the Netgear turned off (turn it off)?

Then reboot the Netgear and the PCs connected to it.

The Netgear is connected to one of the Linksys' LAN ports. I tried disabling DHCP and changing the default LAN IP address but the router froze up.

Looks like I'm good to go now since I upgraded to the latest firmware for the router. My configuration was fine and didn't have to reconfigure the router.
