Just yesterday I was setting up my brothers new computer we built for him and installed it on a HPNA network. After trying to troubleshoot his Linksys 10M Phoneline card, I came to the conclusion that is was fried. To the the Batmoblie I said, and we were on our way to staples. (This is where we always got our cards.) Alas, they do not carry Linksys anymore. Nor does officemax, Radio shack does but no card. Walmart same. Looks like we are gonna have to order online. Newegg didn't have them so I browsed to pricewatch.com. What the!?! I realized that only 3 vendors were even selling these cards and most of them in the 2 pack variety. Now I looked on other brands' websites. D-Link, Netgear, etc. Is there no one selling these things? So what is the deal-i-o. What's the scoop. Is wireless really taking over? HPNA has been my friend....not that I don't appreciate some CAT5e, but for 3 computers in 3 polar locations in a newer home that has phone jacks in every room, sometimes two, HPNA was ideal.

Anyone else??

Yes... Unfortunately, it is getting phased out. Too much pressure from wireless and homeplug (which also seems to be losing steam these days). It comes down to market demand. It's just not there... eBay is a good source for HPNA products.

PS 2Wire may also be another source for HPNA products. CompUSA carries there stuff in the stores.
