Set up a workgroup within a Domain in XP Pro

Help Please! I am adding computers to an existing domain, server is NT4 old computers are win 98se and are on a workgroup called "lab" on a domain called "workgroup", there are other workgroups on this domain. I know how to do it in win 98 but can't figure it out in XP PRO. When I set up the domain, the work group defaults to the domain name (workgroup) and changing the workgroup is greyed out.

A station can be a member of a domain OR a workgroup but not both.

That's why when you click on the radio button next to Domain the Workgroup option goes grey and when you click next to Workgroup the opposite happens.
