Hello;
I am setting up a home wireless network. i will be going from my cable modem/computer downstairs to a computer in a upstairs bedroom. the signal will have to go through a wood floor and a brick wall. A total distance of maybe 100'.
I already have Belkins Wireless USB Network Adapters. p/n F5D6050
I was going to buy the Belkin Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router, p/n F5D6230-3, to match and started reading reviews on your website here. i have seen that some people were having problems with distance/reception and this wireless router.
I do like the fact that they have lifetime warranties and 24/7 customer support, that is a good thing in my opinion.
but if the router cannot do what it's supposed to, then the warranty means nothing.
my questions are this.
Knowing that i have to get signal in a house here in the U.K. with nice brick walls, do you think the Belkin wirless router will be able to do the job? is there a better wireless router (better in signal strength) avalible?
Any thoughts or comments or ideas will be appreciated.
I think i've covered all the facts needed, but if there is something more you need to know please ask.
