I have 3 PCs on a network. 2 are desktops running XP Home and one runs ME. One of the desktops is the main PC I use all the time and I've installed Drive Image 7 on it. From this PC I can browse all the other drives in the network but from the others I can't browse the hard drives on my main PC. I can browse the CD and DVD and floppy just not the hard drive. It says the drive is not accessible 'not enough storage to process the command'. I remove drive Image 7 and the problem goes away. Install again and it reappears.
Any ideas what the problem is?

Maybe it requires a minimum amount of discspace for its operations? Could that be the case?

Maybe. My C Drive where it is installed is a 10gb partition of a 60 gb drive with 4gb free. Do you think that may be too little?

Check out this list with all the problems that can/might occur.

Can't hardly imagine that 4gig isn't enough.

Thanks
I'll read the link. I've resized the partitions in case and no joy.

Hi again
I've read that list before in fact. I think this is a windows error. If I go to control panel/admin tools and look at event viewer/system I get the following message...

Thanks for the help. I'm all sorted now. I found a MS Knowledgebase article about increasing stacksize by editing the registry. I changed it from 11 to 14. No idea what it is or what it does but it's a problem caused by Norton Antivirus and it works now.

I hear it too often nowadays, that firewalls and anti virus software are killing applications, stop you from working......
