My system is connected to the internet through a local ISPand I just installed win2000 on my system to replace the win98 that was there before,
I have installed and configured my wireless pc card ,the client manager is showing excellent signal to the access point but the network is showing 'cable unplugged' and it is not communicating with the network neither can it access the net again.
what could be the problem with the setup?

It would seem you have not set the SSID the same, or you have WEP enabled.

I have the correct SSID specified and that is why it shows excellent signal to the access point and WEP is not enabled on the ISP network.

Are you sure the cable unplugged is not for the Ethernet adapter??

It's not the ethernet ,because the two network connection icons are showing unplugged and i cannot connect to the ISP's network despite my excellent signal on the client manager.
