Im running windows XP. I have a netgear mr814 router v1. I just bought a gigafast we741 USB wireless adapter. I've never utilized the wireless on this router until now. Every minute (or 63 seconds to be exact) my connection drops for about a second then returns for another 63 seconds. This is obviously not good for gaming or downloading anything. I know the problem lies with the wireless connection and not the internet connection because I tried pinging a server every second with the wireless and see the incremental dropout I described, but then when I use Ethernet, its fine. I would really appreciate your help because I am stumped. I disabled my cordless phones so interference is not the problem. thanks

I've troubleshooted the sh*t out of this thing. The netgear and gigafast just arnt compatible with the current drivers and firmware out now. I have a friend who also bought this adapter and has the same router as I and he has the same problem! Thanks for the help tho, but I'm gonna have to return this POS. If anyone out there does have the same config as I and has it working in XP, I praise you and I dont know how u did it.
